Zapora Włocławek

      Zapora we Włocławku to największa elektrownia przepływowa w Polsce, która stworzyła Jezioro Włocławskie na rzece Wiśle. Choć pierwotnie planowano, aby stała się częścią kaskady dolnej Wisły, inne zapory nigdy nie zostały zrealizowane. Budowa zapory przyczyniła się do wymarcia populacji ryb wędrownych, takich jak łososie, certy, trocie i węgorze w dorzeczu Wisły.

 

      Budowa stopnia wodnego miała miejsce w latach 1962–1970. Na początku zarządzał nim Zespół Elektrowni Wodnych Okręgu Północnego w Straszynie. W 1973 roku powstał Rejon Elektrowni Wodnych Włocławek, jednak został rozwiązany w 1976 roku, a zarząd przejęło Zakład Energetyczny Toruń. W 1998 roku utworzono przedsiębiorstwo Elektrownia Wodna we Włocławku sp. z o.o., które funkcjonowało do 2013 roku. Obecnie odpowiedzialna za elektrownię jest firma Energa Wytwarzanie SA.
