Zamek Tarnowskich w Dzikowie

     Zamek Tarnowskich w Dzikowie, główna siedziba starszej linii rodu Tarnowskich herbu Leliwa od 1834 roku, ma długą i bogatą historię. Początkowo w XV wieku istniał tu wieżowy dwór obronny, który z czasem rozbudowano. W XVI wieku Dzików należał do Ossolińskich, a w 1522 roku przeszedł w ręce Tarnowskich. Zamek był stopniowo rozbudowywany, m.in. przez Michała Stanisława Tarnowskiego, który dodał ceglany korpus oraz otoczył budowlę fortyfikacjami. W XVIII wieku Jan Jacek Tarnowski przekształcił zamek w barokowy pałac.

     W XIX wieku, po zniszczeniach wojsk austriackich, zamek został odbudowany w stylu neogotyckim, według projektu Franciszka Marii Lanciego, i pełnił funkcję rezydencji i muzeum Tarnowskich. Zamek zgromadził imponującą kolekcję dzieł sztuki, pamiątek narodowych i unikalnych zbiorów bibliotecznych.

     Po tragicznym pożarze w 1927 roku, w którym zginęło 9 osób, zamek został odbudowany w 1931 roku. Obecnie jest siedzibą Muzeum Historycznego Miasta Tarnobrzega.
