Muzeum Broni i Militariów Świdnica

     Muzeum Broni i Militariów w Świdnicy to prywatna placówka, która istnieje od 2001 roku, choć jej początki sięgają roku 1999, kiedy uzyskała statut nadania od Ministra Kultury, Andrzeja Zakrzewskiego. Założycielem i kuratorem muzeum jest Stanisław Gabryś.


     Zbiory muzeum liczą ponad 1000 militariów, w tym około 150 sztuk broni strzeleckiej, maszynowej i przeciwpancernej, począwszy od pierwszych karabinów iglicowych XIX wieku aż po broń lat pięćdziesiątych XX wieku. Eksponaty przeważająco datowane są na okres II wojny światowej i obejmują karabiny, pistolety, rewolwery, moździerze i inne. Część zgromadzonych obiektów jest unikatowa w skali kraju. 



     Muzeum prowadzi także dział dydaktyczny, który oferuje prelekcje na temat broni i militariów oraz usługi przewodnickie. Planowane jest otwarcie działu poświęconego Twierdzy Świdnickiej. Dodatkową atrakcją jest strzelnica, na której można spróbować swoich sił strzelając bronią krótką, maszynową i pneumatyczną.
